Welcome to our new PARENT POWER forum! Hopefully this can become a meeting and greeting place for likeminded parents where information can be shared. Like LAKEWOOD, we want to make available topics of interest, educational topics, and become a voice for choice in education, be it political or domestic.
Most of you would not have your children homeschooling at Lakewood if the public schools were doing the job that they are supposed to be doing. Some of you have your children here because of the critical environment in public schools and the detrimental effects it can have on innocent children. It is our goal to be a safe haven as well as an educational haven for anyone who has been left behind or pushed aside in our tax-funded government system - or any other system that is failing to provide quality learning. Some of you have your children here in order to keep them from being further labeled and forced to take mind-altering drugs. Whatever your reasons, we are happy to provide all that we can to further their drug-free education!
Our articles and blog hopefully keep you up to date on our views and current educational and medical news. Our goal is to inform not to sway your views or your political persuasion. We hope this forum will open up the opportunity for you to share with us any news articles or updates that you come across or your personal opinion and concerns that you may have. Of course you can always send us emails and we will be happy to respond or you can post directly to the forum. We hope you will be a regular contributor to this forum and help to keep us informed as well.
